Barbara Crawford
Barbara Crawford, a painter, received her MA from James Madison University and an MFA from Vermont College. A founding member of Co-Art in Staunton, she is Professor of art history and studio art at Southern Virginia University. She has been artist-in-residence for the Tyrone Guthrie Art Center in Ireland, the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond. She was awarded a Visiting Artists residency at the American Academy in Rome and won Best of Show in two national juried shows: the Rio Brazos National at Tarleton State University in Texas and the Colors of Fall at Carnegie Hall Art Center in Lewisburg, West Virginia.
